NASA's Big Announcement

-
NASA announced the detection of four earth-sized rocky planets orbiting a red dwarf star. The planets don't have any hope of harbouring intelligent life as they orbit much too close to their parent star whose output is too dim to sustain intelligent life. And most likely all of those planets are locked in- no rotation. One side is always facing the sun. That means only around the edges is there any chance of liquid water at the surface

Toaster repairman by day, cosmologist by night.

If the star is dim, the habitable zone would have to me much nearer the star than earth is to our sun. Physics 101. Actually, grade 9 physics.

LoL! You must be proud to be an ignorant asshole, wee willie. If the habitable zone is closer then the chance the planet is locked- the rotation = revolution- that means one side is always facing the parent star, just as the OP states. No rotation means no mixing of any atmospheric gases. And that means no intelligent life. It also means the only place there could be surface water is around the edges, between perma day and perma night- hey that is in the OP, too.

Looks like wee willie is just an ignorant asshole. Did you have anything of substance to say, wee wee?
